Buzz in Lee County · Development

What Southwest Florida is talking about, and what we've found out. Buzz is unconfirmed until it says otherwise.

How Buzz works

Buzz is what people are talking about in local groups and chats. It is not confirmed news.
Every item is labeled. One post shared in five groups counts as one report, not five.
We check public records and official sources. Confirmed items move to News; false ones are marked Debunked, with the evidence.
Buzz never names private people, and never makes negative claims about a named person or business until it's confirmed.
Crime and health rumors don't run as Buzz. If one turns out to be false, we may publish it as Debunked.

When Buzz is confirmed, it moves to News and keeps its history. How Buzz works
